About Me
My name is Chris Lane.
I’m a technologist, programmer, cypherpunk, and hacker, both in the sense of “offensive security specialist” as well as “participant in maker culture.” I’m a big believer in the freedom of information, the Creative Commons, and in the right for individuals to preserve their privacy online. I’m also a member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
By trade, I’m a full-stack web developer with a preference for LAMP. More specifically, I’m a Zend Certified Engineer in PHP 5, and have advanced expertise in PHP programming. I also routinely perform web-app security audits, and participate in open-source development.
I work on the Internet because I believe in the Internet. The Internet is the world’s most powerful technology for promoting the free flow of information, for spreading education, and for encouraging collaboration. As a bonus, it also comes with funny pictures of cats.
I’m also a writer, both of fiction (work-in-progress) and non-fiction.
Welcome to my little corner of the Internet.
